In fashion, There is no time more exhilarating or optimistic than Fashion Month; Four glorious weeks of full throttle, hardcore and high end fashion.
Exhausting of course for the globe trotting fash pack required to clock the miles, attend the shows and write the reviews, but a sheer delight for all fashion enthusiasts devouring the latest and greatest on and off the runways of New York, London, Milan and Paris.
The recent Spring 2017 Fashion Month did not disappoint with a long list of lust worthy trends emerging; From straight out of the 80’s glam, to flirty and fun ruffles and oversized exaggerated sleeves. Seeing our obsession with the cold shoulder remain strong, denim skirts making a huge return, and velvet suits, dresses and skirts to die for, there are just so many delicious reasons to be counting down the days until the spring collections hit the shop floor. One trend, however, has us seeing red. To tempting and seductive to wait for its spring counterparts to arrive, the rise of the colour red is getting us hot under and over the collar.

80’s disco worthy dresses at Isabel Marant, OTT lace co-ords at Rodarte, Cropped punk pants courtesy of Marc Jacobs, bold stripes at Proenza Schouler, floral suits at Gucci and cropped knits at Fendi, and of course it wouldn’t be a Valentino show without the inclusion of Mr. Garavani’s signature hue.
Not exclusive to the runway, red fever has already quickly spread to the street as the street style squad are embracing all tones with true devotion. Some of the set introducing the colour as a bold highlight in the form of statement bombers, bags or heels, whilst others are embracing red with reckless abandon, dousing themselves from head to toe.
With the party season approaching, there is no better time to stand out and stand strong in the bold and beautiful colour red. Take a hue from these fiery females on the streets across Fashion Month;
