Keeni Vest Wins New Product Innovation Award

Wet Leopard Swimwear has been recognised as an ABA100 Winner in The Australian Business Awards 2016 for New Product Innovation.

The award recognises Wet Leopard’s achievements in the fashion industry through the research and development of their sun-smart swimwear innovation – the Keeni Vest.

The Keeni Vest is based on a patent-pending design, which combines an underwire bikini and a UV sun vest to create a high quality hybrid swimsuit.

“We are excited to be recognised for our work in transforming traditional rash guards into functional, statement fashion pieces. Our goal was to create something beautiful and purposeful to change young people’s attitude towards sun-smart swimwear” Ally Delaney, Founder and Creative Director of Wet Leopard, said.

Wet Leopard Founder, Ally’s first hand experience with her own teenage daughter refusing to wear a rash guard, enabled her to see a gap in the market for a high-end sun vest. As the world’s first swim top with supportive built-in bikini underwire, figure-hugging designs and contemporary graphic prints, Wet Leopard’s Keeni Vest appeals to the Gen-Y market.

Designed and made in Australia, Wet Leopard empowers girls to reach their full potential in all water-based sports from surfing, to swimming or snorkelling, without compromising on sun protection.

“For over a decade, The Australian Business Awards have recognised organisations that provide their clients with solutions to modern challenges by prioritising innovative practices that continually push the boundaries of what’s possible,” Australian Business Awards Program Director, Ms Tara Johnston, said.
