Kim Westwood, Founder & Managing Director of Shopping Links, Australia’s fastest-growing fashion-focused social media startups, will speak as part of an expert industry panel on September 1 during Melbourne Spring Fashion Week, which runs from August 26 to September 2.
Joining Alyce Tran of The Daily Edited and Julia Stevanja of Stylerunner, Westwood will lead a discussion on Influencer and Brand Collaborations, offering insight into how brands and designers can effectively work with influencers.
Hosted by the RMIT Design Club, the panel is part of a series of industry discussions and networking events that will feature leading fashion, business, and social media experts in fields ranging from the Power of Digital Communication to Technology for Fashion. Conversations will cover practical topics like how to create clever digital content alongside more abstract discussions like what makes a runway come to life. Westwood’s discussion will focus on how brands can effectively expand their reach and awareness through social media influencers.
“I’m thrilled to be a part of this fantastic panel and to be able to share the insights I have gained while building Shopping Links,” said Westwood. “It’s such an exciting time for influencer marketing, and the opportunities for brands and influencers to productively work together are growing more and more each day. Anyone entering the fashion industry should be aware of influencers and the role they play in securing brand exposure.”
Westwood will address the advantages of a comprehensive influencer marketing service — encompassing both technology and professional experience — during the panel. Tickets are available online.
