As Australia’s only dedicated fashion trade event, Fashion Exposed is where the industry comes together to discover, source and buy the very latest in apparel, footwear and accessories.
This year the three-day event – from Saturday 16 August to Monday 18 August – will host 1000s of buyers, retailers and wholesalers at the new purpose-built exhibition hall at the Sydney Showground. Discover new and inspiring labels with more international exhibitors than ever before, keep up-to-date with trends and network with industry peers.
The highly-anticipated Business Seminar series returns with more than 20 free sessions on key topics from trend forecasting to best practice social media, fashion buying and more. The stellar line-up includes Tim Krotiris of Social Media Servants, Lauren Jones of General Pants and Chris Vincent of Practicology, with more industry icons to be announced soon. The Business Breakfast is back by popular demand fusing food and fashion commerce in an intimate session from a leading Australian talent. More details to come.
New to the show experience is the Fashion Exposed Open Day. In an unprecedented move, Fashion Exposed will open up the show to emerging fashion businesses and students in a sign of support for Australia’s next generation of fashion. The day aims to provide free practical support and advice from how to launch a fashion business to how to run it successfully in this current market. The Fashion Exposed Open Day also acts as a vital platform for visitors and a chance to access the experience of our industry experts via a dedicated discussion panel with speakers from Small Biz NSW, Launch Initiative, Australian Business Network and TFIA.
Fashion Exposed Exhibition Director, Elissa Duke commented;
“We always aim to be at the forefront of innovation when it comes to feature areas at the show and the August event in Sydney will not disappoint. We will see the launch of “Open Day” which is a new initiative to give start up retailers and designers along with aspiring students not only first-hand experience at a trade show but to also gain inside knowledge from industry experts by attending our ever popular Seminar Series.
Another new initiative we will launch at the show is the Visual Merchandising demonstrations. These sessions will provide attendees with hands-on experience in creating visual displays with a point of difference that also drive business into-store.”
