In 1955 Almiro Grings launched his own business in the footwear industry, which was surprisingly small in the region of Igrejinha, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil at the time.
It all started with a small workshop that produced 12 pairs a day, now 58 years on, Piccadilly make 60 thousand pairs a day, with 4,000 employees and eight production units. And Brazil has a booming footwear industry.
While Almiro has since passed on, his values, such as honesty and determination, are still present in every collection.
Today Piccadilly is known for innovation. With each new collection they continue to showcase new fabrics and materials that are not only incredibly luxurious but also wear well over time and don’t wrinkle. This means they travel really well too.
Piccadilly shoes are also waterproof, so if you wear their shoes in the rain they completely repel water. There’s something sort of magical about its properties. Their `24 hours’ allows you to stretch all day long and they have just developed a new sole material that enables a silent heel.
It’s this investment in innovation that sets Piccadilly apart. It is the only brand with Techmix, the set of technologies created to ensure the maximum feel-good sensation for women. It has seen the brand collection become a wild success in Brazil and in 90 countries around the world.
Their quality is renowned and certified by Satra, the world’s leading research and technology center.
Piccadilly plan to continue their innovative research launching new footwear technologies into market that are both fashionable and trend-driven.
