Womenswear buyer and lecturer Lauren Jones will be sharing her insights and tips for successful retail buying during the Fashion Exposed Business Seminar Series at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre this weekend.
With over 10 years’ buying experience, working with department store David Jones and currently major retailer General Pants specialising in Women’s fashion and denim, Lauren has forged a successful career, consistently driving strong sales and margin result in a rapidly evolving landscape. Drawing on this experience, Lauren lectures at FBI Fashion College, teaching both Fashion Buying and Advanced Fashion Buying courses.
Using the ‘five rights of buying’ as the content framework, Lauren will explore how to build a range and stock the right product for your customer, resulting in sales growth and gained market share.
Ahead of the show, Lauren recently shared some essential buying tips with Ragtrader, revealing, “It’s important to continually reassess product performance in the context of the season to identify any shifts behaviour or demand.
