Resortwear’s next big thing

Mena_1New Zealand based glam resortwear label Mena has its sights set on clinching new markets and will be promoting its unique offer to that end at Fashion Exposed Sydney.

Founded by Samoan sisters Agnes, Jackie, Gina and Charlene Loheni in 2002, the label takes its name from their mother, who taught them dressmaking, and embodies an exotic, glamorous style of dressing that makes it a rarity in the Kiwi fashion market.

Celebrating quintessential vacation style dressing with maxi dresses, the label has garnered a strong following in New Zealand, Japan, Hawaii, the Solomon and Cook Islands and Samoa and now plans to extend its reach across the Tasman.

Targeting independent fashion boutiques, the label’s strategy at Fashion Exposed is to grow its Australian customer base through new leads secured at the fair.

Mena will be on show at Fashion Exposed from 6-8 March 2011 at Sydney Exhibition Centre.
