Blinged Out

glamour_girlWith a passion for fashion, Nina Skobalj kicked off her debut footwear brand, Glamour Shoes in March 2011. From a young age, Nina fell in love with diamonds, pearls and all things sparkly and in her own words, ‘blinged out’. Nina has taken her love of sparkle to the ultimate extreme with Glamour Shoes and over the past three years she has worked fervently designing a collection that offers something different and makes a bold statement.

The designs have caught the eye of several celebrities who she has since dressed for the red carpet including Tori Darke for the 2011 ARIA Awards whose dress, shoes and bag were all designed by Nina. “It was a long process to find a manufacturer, to get the shoe made exact to the designs on paper,” says Nina. “There were a few hurdles over the past three years in being able to have a quality leather shoe, great quality designs, along with a reasonable price, but that has been achieved.”

Up until now Glamour Shoes has been an online store only, but the brand has decided to launch their collection at Fashion Exposed, Sydney to showcase their new styles to retailers for the first time. This includes over 15 new and ‘top secret’ designs launched exclusively at Fashion Exposed including stilettos, pumps peep toes, points and platforms. In addition to the heels, Glamour Shoes will also offer eight new handbag designs. This new line has an introduction of ‘very fun, funky and vibrant’ seasonal colour. “They are fashion statements, and are for the girl who wants to be talked about,” says Nina.

Be sure to check out this incredible collection on Stand #6226 at the Australian Shoe Fair from February 12-14.
