Practically Stylish

_MG_1607editVangoh Shoes is as much a shoe store as it is a love story founded by husband and wife team Raj and Vanessa Takkar in 2009. Their ethos is that happy feet make for a happy customer, which is why they pride themselves on providing beautiful shoes that are as comfortable as they are fashionable. But Vangoh is so much more than just another shoe store. Not only do they stock locally designed shoes, but they also offer a range of leather handbags and elegant jewellery.

Owned and operated by husband and wife team, Vanessa and Raj Takkar the Perth pair have turned their passion into a thriving business thanks to their keen eye for fashion that sees them design or source all the shoes and accessories themselves. “I’ve always dreamed about owning my own company – business is in my blood and I wanted to do something I feel passionate about,” said co-owner Raj Takkar. “I’ve always wanted to lure Vanessa into business and thought a shoe label would be the perfect bait. Since Vanessa can’t stop buying shoes, starting a shoe business seemed like the obvious solution.”

_MG_1948The Vangoh Shoes woman has unique taste, savouring the opportunity to buy something a bit more special than the usual Perth options. Whether they are in the workforce, starting a family or simply a local fashionista, a Vangoh woman understands that you don’t have to sacrifice comfort for style. Most Vangoh shoes come with a solid heel or platform, offering more stability than regular high shoes with none of the heels being above 4 inches.

“Besides retail, we are starting to experience increasing demand from other retailers and wholesalers wanting to carry the VANGOH brand of shoes in their stores and websites,” said Raj. “We plan to increase our new product purchasing cycles and expand our product range to meet this growing demand. We have also been developing our supply chain capability and are now able to manufacture custom design shoes of the highest quality.”
