Lingerie labels’ moment of fame

FEX_ACA_bras_panacheFashion Exposed lingerie exhibitors found themselves in the media spotlight when TV show A Current Affair put underwear under the microscope.

Focusing on lingerie offering shaping secrets for ‘real women’ ACA’s Fashion Exposed coverage encompassed brands including French burlesque-inspired lingerie label Maison Close as well as Big Girls Don’t Cry, Australian distributor for Panache (pictured) which specialises in bras and lingerie from sizes 6 to 36 and from an A to an N cup; the Atlantis bra from Panache caught ACA’s attention with its promise to increase bust sizes by two cup sizes.

Meanwhile Secret Weapons “invisi-lifts’ and “nudi boobies” silicone bras were also promoted through ACA’s coverage and for active women, Sportsbras from Moving Comfort also caught the show’s attention. These included the Juno sportsbra, whose anti-microbial fabric, made from recycled coffee beans, helps to absorb perspiration.

Representing one of the fashion industry’s fastest growing categories, lingerie and intimates were on show in the Allure precinct of Fashion Exposed, from 6-8 March at Sydney Exhibition Centre.
