Picture perfect swimwear hits fair

Gypsea_w300A new swimwear brand embodying Australia’s beachside way of life and unique creativity is set to make its debut at Fashion Exposed next month.

WA based label Gypsea Swimwear is a collaboration between international surf photographer Scott Bauer and Perth born, Bali based designer Emma Brereton, resulting in a unique blend of photography and fashion that uses the female form as a canvas for Bauer’s work. With evocative names such as Sand Ripple, Psychedelic, Desert and  Shell Poko, the collection is designed to be modern, simple and clean cut.

“The imagery of Gypsea is based on a surfing lifestyle from the rolling waves of Margaret River to the oceans ripple of Ningaloo reef,” Bauer said. “I’ve combined digital prints with flattering design cuts and the best Italian fabric I could find to give our clients a fresh and unique range of swimwear. Gypsea girls are stylish, unique and down to earth and this collection reflects those sentiments to the core.”

Gypsea will be on show at Fashion Exposed from 6-8 March 2011 at Sydney Exhibition Centre.
