With the Business Seminars taking place throughout the day on Tuesday March 8 at Fashion Exposed, Sydney Exhibition Centre, each complimentary seminar will comprise an information-rich 30 minute session.
Opening proceedings from 9.30 to 10am will be ‘Digital Exposed’, a presentation on understanding and utilising the digital world from Kate Vandermeer of iSpyStyle, who will cover all things digital from e-commerce to engaging audiences and using social media.
Next up, from 11 to11.30am, ‘Buying Exposed’ looks in depth at how to buy more effectively. Presented by Sarah Gale from Fashionista Consulting, the seminar covers effective buying and budget management as well as how to manage stock in a challenging retail environment, buying key items and the balance of “highlight” versus “bread and butter” stock.
From 12.30 to 1pm, ‘Trends Exposed’, presented by Jen Sherrin from WGSN, will include information on the key colours, items, accessories and silhouettes that are the must haves for the spring summer 2012 season, across womenswear and menswear.
Sherrin will also return from 2 to 2.30pm for ‘Retail Exposed’, a look at global retail trends including an international retail round up, ideas for visual merchandising and inspiring retail theatre.
Finally from 3.30 to 4pm, ‘Customers Exposed’ will focus on building two-way relationships with customers. Presented by Mark Davis of The Davis Consulting Group, the seminar will analyse how to keep customers’ attention in store, selling skills for staff to help increase profits by 33 per cent in three months and up-selling techniques.
The Fashion Exposed Business Seminars will take place throughout the day on Tuesday March 8 at Fashion Exposed, from 6-8 March at Sydney Exhibition Centre.
