Fashion to aid flood victims

Queensland_floods_MosseeFashion label Mossée has joined moves to help Queensland flood victims by donating extra stock to women in the water bound state.

Mossée head designer Maggie Wong said the fashion industry could play a part in assisting victims of the deluge.

“It has always been our brand philosophy to support women in the community and do what we can to give back, whilst we are only a small fashion house in Australia, I believe every effort counts and would like to call on all other designers to donate all that they can. I personally could not imagine losing everything and hope that if we all donate something, together we can make a difference.”

Mossée’s agent, Garland & Garland Fashion, has also pledged to donate 2 x 1 hour phone mentoring sessions on wholesaling and retailing for emerging designers and retailers valued at $150 each to the cause.

Co-director Phoebe Garland confirmed the business was “currently working around the clock on a master plan to help the Queensland flood victims immediately” and urged those interested in assisting to get online for more information.

Elswhere designer Alex Perry and TV personality Melissa Hoyer are reportedly on board to be involved in a fund-raising event to help victims, an idea first tweeted by Sydney stylist Donny Galella.
