Australia’s first ever multi-nation sourcing fair, which launches next month in Melbourne, looks set to receive a standout response from Australian companies wishing to source product quickly and conveniently.
Kate Vandermeer, founder of consultancy and online design forum iSpyStyle, said businesses frequently voiced an interest in how to find the right overseas suppliers.
“My answer is always the same – it can be hit and miss and it does take time to build a relationship with the right suppliers. Travelling back and forth internationally can be time consuming and expensive, so I am delighted that Australian Exhibition & Conferences Pty Ltd has launched the Australian International Sourcing Fair to aid this process without having to leave the state let alone the country!”
“This event will showcase regional and national production capabilities and we predict will become an integral part of the trade show calendar,” Vandermeer added.
Taking place from 17-19 November at Melbourne Exhibition Centre, the International Sourcing Fair is a dedicated trade show designed to bring high quality international manufacturers direct to the Australian market.
Co-located with China Clothing & Textiles Expo – itself to showcase over 200 Chinese companies – sourcing fair exhibitors will hail from leading manufacturing hubs including Bangladesh, India, Indonesia, Pakistan, as well as Fiji, Nepal, Thailand. Hosting over 280 manufacturers displaying fashion, footwear, accessories and workwear, as well as homewares and Manchester, the International Sourcing Fair will showcase components, textiles, lace, swimwear, knitwear, handbags, leather goods and more.
