Australian importers will soon have a unique forum in which to maximise their global sourcing activities on home ground, when Australia’s only multi-nation sourcing fair launches in Melbourne next month.
Taking place from 17-19 November at Melbourne Exhibition Centre, the International Sourcing Fair is a dedicated trade show designed to bring high quality international manufacturers direct to the Australian market.
Hosting over 280 manufacturers displaying fashion, footwear, accessories and workwear, as well as homewares and Manchester, the International Sourcing Fair will showcase components, textiles, lace, swimwear, knitwear, handbags, leather goods and more. Co-located with China Clothing & Textiles Expo – itself to showcase over 200 Chinese companies – exhibitors will hail from manufacturing hubs including Bangladesh, India, Indonesia, Pakistan, as well as Fiji, Nepal and Thailand.
Bangladesh will showcase its renowned leather, handbags, knitwear, sporting apparel and footwear, while the Indian presence will comprise over 70 companies covering textiles, fashion and accessories. Indonesia will display leading fashion and footwear items while Pakistan will promote its textiles, handcrafted shawls, sportswear and leatherwear.
With the fair established to create a forum for sourcing new product without needing to leave Australian shores, fair visitors will have access to the latest products and components prior to planning their next purchasing cycle.
