Men’s and women’s footwear retail brand Sidewalk Soul is set to further expand its presence within its home market of Melbourne. The brand, which launched three years ago, will open its sixth store in the fashion precinct of Chapel Street, South Yarra before mid October.
The new store is the latest step in Sidewalk Soul’s growth strategy, which received a boost with the recent launch of the brand’s online store at sidewalksoul.com.au. The retailer also operates three Melbourne CBD stores; in Little Collins Street, Howey Place and Melbourne Central – as well as stores in Brunswick Street Fitzroy and Puckle Street Moonee Ponds.
Sidewalk Soul launched into the retail market in Fitzroy in 2006, the brain child of Ghetto footwear founder Anthony Cardamone.
The retailer offers a range of leading brands for men and women including: Tony Bianco, Siren, RMK, Bresley, Top End, Boston Babe, Orbit, Skechers, Merrell, Tsubo, Zola collection, Nude, Le Coq Sportif, Gola, Lluis, Croft, Roberto Guerrini, Django & Juliette, Robert Robert, Keds, Windsor Smith, Olga Berg, Emu.
Cardamone said he planned to launch a new loyalty program over the next couple of months to drive sales to the stores and build the Sidewalk Soul brand. Longer term plans for the company included the possibility of 10 Melbourne stores and a burgeoning online business servicing regional communities.
